The town of Buis Les Baronnies provides climbers with opportunities for climbing of all grades and styles. Single and multi-pitch sport climbing from easy grade 3's to desperate 8's exist within a short distance of this pretty Provencal market town.
Climbing is possible here all year round, with a good mixture of sunny crags for the winter and shady venues for the hotter summer months.
Buis Les Baronnies is especially suitable for climbers wanting to venture outdoors for the first time, those who want to start leading or for climbers who want to try multi-pitch climbing. It is also a great venue for climbers happy leading grade 5 and 6 (sport grades) who want to improve their abilities and learn skills and techniques for climbing more difficult routes.

Orpierre.
For those looking to climb longer routes, the crags around the small town of Orpierre provide the ideal location. Situated in the foothills of the Alps, the routes here combine quality climbing, fantastic views and good quality in-situ protection.
Although the town has some fine single-pitch routes, the longer multi-pitch climbs are the reason to visit this area. Multi-pitch climbs exist up to 180 metres and make this the ideal venue to learn the skills required for tackling longer routes safely.
After climbing you can head to the pool or relax in one of the village’s bars or restaurants.

Fontainebleau.
Fontainebleau is widely regarded as one of the worlds’ finest bouldering areas and a lifetimes’ worth of quality climbing can be found in this amazing chaos of rocks.
Whether you are new to bouldering, venturing outdoors for the first time or an experienced climber, our instructors and coaches will be able to guide you round this complex climbing area and help find the best and most suitable ‘boulder problems’ for you.
The small rocks can be climbed without ropes and allow the climber to focus solely on the climbing. This promotes improvement in technique as well as increasing confidence, fitness, strength and the ability to work out difficult moves Gains made here will help improve all areas of your climbing.
By climbing close to the ground, using only climbing shoes, a little chalk and a bouldering mat, difficult moves can be practiced and perfected in safety. ClimbFrance teach the necessary skills and techniques for safe bouldering and provide Metolius bouldering mats.
